Some Catches to Get the Juices Flowing Again

Post by The Welshman on Wed Aug 19, 2009 4:40 pm

Now that we've managed to beat the World Record for "Quietest Internet Forum", I thought I'd give you an update on snippets that I know of.

Tarde is fishing well.

Apparently, Ollie had a 27lb fish, night before last. Jim had the mosaic out again last weekend (don't know the weight - think it was 27s). Mick's had one out at 25s (PB). Ryan's had one out at 25s. Loud Lee's had his first Tarde 20 last week. Simon Deaks and Davvy have had a number of fish out on their last visits. Even the Scruffy boy had one out a couple of weeks ago (so it must be fishing well !!!)

So, all in all, the carp are having it.

I did a social last night with Stokey (first time on the bank with rods at Tarde since May), and managed to nip out a massive bream (didn't weigh it, but it would have threatened 10lb) and then had this ripper at 6.45am this morning. 24lb 12ozs.

Thanks to Stokey for the great photos (of the fish !!) and Mad Mick for the bacon and sausage baps (tidy, butt !!!). Think I had this fish 2 years ago out of the house at scraper 20s. It was a bit lighter in colour then, but I'll check out the photos. Hope to see you on the bank soon, peeps.

Did last night in the long hole and had a long lean mirror (21lb 6oz) at 2.30am this morning. Gutted that no one was about to take the pics so all I got is this nasty matt shot and another random one in the net. The matt is 95cm long so you can get a idea of the size

Nice work, Ryan. Looks like you've sussed it now, mate. That's a beautiful fish, and one that doesn't come out too often.

Funnily enough, I did yesterday morning from 5 to 9 in the Long. Didn't have it out long towards the beach did you?
