Connntttttt! as jim would say. Im not really gonna be doin it by the kilo. more by the 30 kilo to the boys who are serious about it. To get the price down Im gonna have to buy in bulk so ill need at least 5 blokes each havin 30kg. So your talking £250 for 30kg which brings it more inline with the going rate a bit and gives you the best part of a seasons worth of bait (if used it correctly!)

Better isnt it? I gotta get a shed load of the gear to bring it down to that though hence why I need to sell the first 150kg straight away just to get the cost of materials back. Even at those prices its still not cheap but who wants to be using cheap bait? My aim is to get everyone on it and hauling and on different waters aswell and hopefully it will convert people and get them realising that good quality bait is the way to go. There seems to be this cheap bait culture and it needs nipping in the bud pronto! I have learnt from the last 12 months selling bait and tackle that the carp angler is a very fickle creature, We dont mind spending thousands on looking the Dog's but when it comes to spending a few hundred on fishing the dog's noone wants to know. It seems We'd rather blank than pay for a decent bait Smile

Good idea mike, I think you might struggle getting average jo to buy 30kg in 1 hit tho? Yes it does make sense in the long run, because its a seasons worth of bait (for some people) but its alot to ask in one lump sum, maybe start doin cheque spread lol! lol!

Ha Ha yeah thats a good idea. Im not sure it is though. the likes of Davvy, Si Deakin, John and Jim have all bought in volumes and were rewarded from it through their angling. Ill be quite happy to do it in smaller quantities aslong as the overall first lot of customers take it up to at least 150kg i.e if I had 10 people having 15kg etc. Its risky really so if I cant get enough people together I wont go ahead with it. I appreciate your feedback though I wish more people would share their thoughts. Its like trying to find your way in the dark sometimes! Very Happy

ya fair point Mike, I wish more people would use this forum, thats the whole idea of having it!!! Just another thought tho

" the likes of Davvy, Si Deakin, John and Jim have all bought in volumes and were rewarded from it through their angling

Who else do you know on there that puts in as much time as these guys to justify buying in bulk??

I'm not saying its the wrong approach but just might alienate the few guys who have bought the odd 5kg off you in the past.

But if they ALL chip in and buy 5 / 10 kg it should work out sweet for everyone.

Come on you 13 users give the man some feedback!! Wink

i think i put around 20 to 25 kilo in last year and only fished around 25 nights if that really so 30 kilo for a season really aint that much
a good mate of mine has put well over 140 kilo of bait in captains last year and took the place apart over 160 carp with all most 40 20s..
so what im trying to say is put it in to get the fish out or in a word

FILL IT IN

as long as your putting it in the right place of course lol! lol!

That can work on the day, it sounds like theres loads of fish in Captains? I used less than 40kg in a season and blitzed the place. I think a lot of people look at filling it in in an attempt to feed off the bream but I found that using small amounts in the right spots it served two purposes. A. It didnt attract vast amounts of bream in the first place and B. The carp competed with each other over what little was there. I remember feeding a large group of fish in the edge and with about three handfuls of bait the water was like a mudbath within seconds which made me think about how little bait that is required to create a frenzy. I'd never encourage anyone to fill it in unless they we sure they were havin' it!
Fish for one bite at a time I say! Smile

Thats certainly is a lot of boilies. I remember jim and john in france last september they got through 60kilo between em in a week in one small bay. what a buzz it is it is when they really have it like that tho! Problem is when they have it like that up tardy you can kiss half the fish you hook goodbye cos of the weed! Sad
