Swims are now ALL fishable
Hi chaps
A few of us went down there this morning, and backfilled the house, and put down fresh straw on all the newly dug/sorted swims. i.e. The House, The Secret, The Long, The Gully and The Net swims are all now sorted.
We're hoping for a large batch of bark chippings in the very near future, courtesy of Grant, so we can do all the swims in bark chippings, and get it looking nice and tidy for the forthcoming early season munch up.
We'll have confirmation soon, re the bark chippings, in terms of when we can get them delivered. We'll be asking as many as possible to come down for that, with special emphasis on those who couldn't make the last work party to attend, including new members. We can then bag the chippings in the car park, and boat them to the various swims. It's nice easy work (in comparison to last weekend), and we can then all bivvy up, chuck the rods out, crack a tinny open, and hopefully bag a cyprio !!!
I think it's going to look great down there once we've got this done, and all just in time for the season to kick off properly.
I'll let you know when we are getting the chippings.
Keith

Great work so far matey, had a walk round with the stookie the other day and it's looking really nice mate. As soon as you know when the next work is going on let me know so i can make sure im not working.
Re: Swims are now ALL fishable
No probs, mate. I'd like to get it done next weekend, if possible, but it all depends on Grant's availability.
We'll have to wet a line soon, as well.

Re: Swims are now ALL fishable
Just had a text from Russ, and the bark chippings are being delivered this morning hopefully !!! So, unless you hear otherwise from me, there'll be a "work party" next weekend, to do the chippings for each swim. All that will entail is bagging them on the car park, lugging the bags up to the damn wall car park swim, and then boating them around the lake to various swims and spreading them around. Easy work, to be honest.
As stated, if the lads who couldn't make the last work party can make it, plus a few more of us, we can get this done in a morning, easily.
Really looking forward to this, as it'll look great and be much nicer to fish.
It's going to be a good year on the Res. I can feel it in me water !!!
Cheers

Re: Swims are now ALL fishable
Yeah all done now. Sorry, I panicked a bit when she said she couldnt redo em this week and I wanted to get em printed today. And after all that Im actually gonna hold on a day or two while I wait for a couple more quotes. He quoted me £20 for 100 and to be honest I reckon I can get a better deal than that.
Re: Swims are now ALL fishable
