Microlite Accident
Hi chaps
Some of you may have heard that there was an accident in the vicinity of the Res last night. I was down there at about 7.30 - 8pm, and as I was leaving, two microlites went over. One, with two people on it, very low, compared to normal.
When I got back in the house, I started getting texts from Stokey & Jones Junior, regarding an accident, where a microlite had hit the power lines. An air ambulance went over my house at the speed of light also. And then I got a call from a mate who lives in Finstall saying they had a power cut up there.
Clearly, I would imagine that we all hope the people who were hurt are OK, but my thoughts (and others) quickly turned to the possibility that the lines may have gone in the water. Which would have been disasterous for us.
I've been down there this morning, as I was worried, and I'm pleased to say that all looks normal down there, the lines look like they're perfectly in tact, around the gulley area. All quiet on the Tidybutt front.
Just hope the people who were involved in the accident are OK.
Cheers
Keith
