Just a hunch. Sounds daft but I have seen a lot of pics of big German commons that look remakably like that in shape/proportion. Plus the guy holding it looks as if he maybe of Aryan descent....so maybe my dear Watson just maybe!! Smile

Had a feeling it was. Italian commons are very distinctive aswell from the giant "inland seas". Absolutely stunning fish, never a scale out of place or a split fin in sight! Surprised
