the tying up of the boat Empty Boats security and repairs

Post by silver fox Sat Oct 20, 2012 3:28 pm

Hi Sacha,
As I think I mentioned to you recently I'm retiring from work on 26th October. I'll definitely have more time to be up at the Res Monday to Friday. I've already tasked myself with securing the boat with chain and padlock to a concrete base and scaffolding pole. I'm also intending to check the other two boats currently upturned on the far bank and either repair or write them off. Hopefully repairs will be possible and then get all three chained up with combination locks for member use. Hopefully we'll have at least three boats for use one way or another by Spring 2013 when the weed begins to be an issue again for clearing swims and landing fish. Just a quick reminder though. Don't forget to use a life jacket!
Cheers,
John
