Quarterly metings
As most of you are aware there will be a quarterly news letter this season, and as an extention to this there will be a meeting for the syndicate (and possibly the waiting list) at the Cross pub in Finstall a few weeks or so after the news letter is sent out.to make these meetings a bit more than just a get together of like minded anglers i would ask you all to post any message regarding a subject at the lake which you would like info on. then i can do some reserch as to who can answer the question best on the night.

Ply me alcohol and I'll bore everyone rigid for a few hours. I'd jump through hoops, wearing a pink dress backwards for a stella!!!

Re: Quarterly metings
Shit your right, i do, i'm a complete loon can you help me? Help!!!Help me someone!!!
Seriously though, a chat about the use of boats for getting the kit over safely, landing fish from, baiting up ect, their limitations and how we're agreeing to use them as not to get on each others nerves would be a decent subject to include.

Re: Quarterly metings
Russ how about rig safety. Particularly using lead core, the chod rig and how to set it up for maximum fish safety in the event of a break. On the subject of boring people rigid I can do my famous/ infamous demonstration of how to tie the hermit rig. When fishing at Sky Lake two years ago my demonstartion to Jim and Steve the miner started at 6pm and finished after midnight!

Jesus... ! we only have the room for four hours john!
Great suggestion though this is one that i think we will be revisiting time and time again. will go through it with bailifs at meeting to compair notes ideas. Would you then do the talk on the meeting night?

No problem Russ I'd be happy to do the talk and demo as long as I can do the Blue Peter trick, "This is one I tied earlier."

Re: Quarterly metings
As you all know we had our first quarterly meeting at the cross pub in finstall on sunday 1st and would just like to say thanks to all those who came along, and indeed a big thank you to John Howard for his presentation and all the effort he obviously put in prior to his talk on rig safety, thanks john. I will start planning the next one very soon, so any ideas on topics for the next talk, let me know on here. cheers all

Re: Quarterly metings
I'd like to see :
Stalky Paul on how he has managed to stalk fish out, without spooking them with the glare off his pip.
Jim/John - Carping and wine connoiseurs - best wines on the bank.
Mr Walters - to give a gallery style presentation of the fish he's caught this season (shouldn't take too long !!!) - MAAAATE !!!!
Davvy/Roady - on Birmingham City's capitualtion towards play off failure
Me - I'll give a masterclass on bovine and bestiality best practice (quite topical with all this swine flu).
I reckon that's your agenda, right there, Mr Guise.
(yes - I'm bored)
