Re: pictures of the resi
Id like to see some n' all! Ill email British Waterways tomorrow and see if they have any pictures they would like to send us! Bit of a long shot that they have any, let alone if they can even be arsed to dig them out and send them but hey, you never know!

Re: pictures of the resi
dude ive been down that road and its another dead end.they were actually co operative believe it or not!!!! they put me in contact with the archive department but they told me to try www.virtualwaterways.co.uk to see if there were any files of the reservoir and if so get back in touch no good tho.thought of putting an advert in the advertiser.
Re: pictures of the resi
Yeah I did email them this morning and all I got back was an automated reply saying that a human being will be in touch within the next 5 days lol. Yeah definately worth putting an ad in the paper or speaking to locals who frequent the canal and res, even local birdwatching forums perhaps. One of my regrets has always been not being around when it was drained, Id love to have seen it and took a few pics.

Re: pictures of the resi
Right..... Had an email back from BW which passed on to me another email address of a BW employee. And I was told in no uncertain terms that he HAS got photographs of Tardebigge reservoir when it was drained for repaires in 2000. Sooo I have emailed him, I have asked the question. Just fingers crossed that he gets back me and if so, that the photographs are of any use at all.

That guy at British Waterways got back to me. he said hes away til tuesday and when he gets back into the office he'll dig em out and forward them to me. He was doing work on the valve at the time so hopefully there will be some nice shots off the dam wall! Fingers crossed!

Re: pictures of the resi
Was sent a pdq file of a technical drawing of the res lakebed contours. It highlights any variation in depth etc. The problem is I cant upload it. I have registered with photobucket but it wont accept it to upload.
Any suggestions?
