Thanks to Mr Howard and Jimbo !!

Just wanted to post up a thanks to John, for some stirling work on Sunday. You may notice, on your perambulation from the gate to the car park, that your dental fillings will no longer be rattled loose, that your car's suspension will not be tested to it's limit, that your spectacles will no longer bounce down your nose, and that the eggs you just purchased will not be a scrambled mess by the time you've set up on your swim.

This is down to John making the effort to fill the cavernous craters in the road with gravel. So - thank you, John. Now if you can create a new gravel spot off the Long Hole for me, I'd be eternally grateful !!!

Also to Jim, for keeping me in fags, booze and curry on Friday and Saturday night. Thanks Jimbob !! I owe you £6.50, my son !!

FYI, after tomorrow, you'll also notice that the walk from the Island swim to the Gulley will no longer require machete, barrels of DEET and waders on to avoid being nettle stung multiple times. Mr Grubb and I, subject to his strimmer being operational, will be sorting that pathway out (as long as there's no one fishing on that bank at the time).

Yeah i was going to reverse up the dam wall and drop 8 ton in the lake to make my own "little" spot but couldnt get over bridge with the lorry lol
