Re: Chod Rigs!
lol fair play well if it works it works! And if it doesnt, well at least you've had an excuse to get away from the misses!

Jim's an offianado of the chod. So's the Stewky, Mr Collis.
I've never used one. I try a few new rigs a year, but keep going back to my lucky strip back combi with a bit of shrink tube. Does the job for me.

Re: Chod Rigs!
Caught a few fish on em b4, good choice over silt, but can work well over gravel, Frank warwick showed me one about 10 years ago (when i lived up in sunny stoke!!!) although he was using a short hooklink and by that i mean about 1 inch
Re: Chod Rigs!
Personally I like to give all the new rigs a try on one rod but I've only ever had two fish on pop ups and that was in heavy weed at kingsbury some 10 years ago!
I'm gona have a wangle with a hinged stiff rig with a wafter on one rod for my next couple of sessions!
Otherwise Im a fox cortex or supernova kinda guy!

Re: Chod Rigs!
Coretex is great, colour-wise for Tarde. I find it's good for close work (with putty), but it's shite for giving it a lob. Tangles very easy, due to it's flexibility.
Re: Chod Rigs!
I've got some snake bite gold which is a similar colour to the cotex but a bit stiffer! I just dont like the fact I have to steam it straight, and the braid is a bit pale and bright in comparrison to the sheath and lake bed!
I've only had a couple of tangles on the cortex, but then I do use fairly short hooklinks which I thinks helps!

Wierd I just never have any confidence in them, I usually whack one out a session for atleast a few hours but never seem to have any luck!
You ever tried the chod with a bottom bait or snowman?

Re: Chod Rigs!
No mate. dont see the point in a bottom bait... to me thats just tryin something knew just for the sake of it. The chod itself is so simple thats why it works. no point messing around with it. Just give it ago.... Actually dont then I'll have more chance then!!
