New PB
Here we go boys. Pic of my new P.B 32lb 4oz. Absolutely Roared off Saturday morning after picking up my 13 Hookbait!
Re: New PB
The Pics dont really do the fish justice but I can assure you of the weight. It was my first session in nearly 3 months aswell so was well pleased to be rewarded with it! Thanks to Mr Deakin for his assistance and lending me his scales as my Reuben's are broke!!
Re: New PB
Well fuck my old boots! I caught this fish @ 24lb 8oz about 4 years ago from the long hole. Haven't seen it on the bank for a long long time, anyone else had it in the last couple of seasons? I'll try and dig the pic out, im sure kieth will remember it as its the one that makes me look like i've got the mrs's lipstick on
Oh yea and bloody well done mate

Re: New PB
Not the same, Mr Jones. Check the dorsal.
You've got the ultra elusive Black Common there. The one Mike had on Saturday morning was the same one as I had 5 weeks ago, and the same fish that John Grubb had in early May. I also caught it 5 years ago at 21lb. See Gallery page 3, halfway down on the right.

Re: New PB
You never know dood, if work will let me have my life back..................Looks like its day session piking for me from now on, which im actually looking forward to!
Re: New PB
I'm going to do one or two more sessions for the carp, and then get onto the pike. I'm looking forward to it. Will make a nice change, not having to lug a load of stuff around. Couple of hours on a Sunday morning. Shake out the cobwebs.
Re: New PB
Deffo! Me n' Deaks was watching one cruising along the dam wall margin the other day. I can just imagine lobbing out a Sardine off the edge of the pads and waiting for the drop off to hit the deck! Esoxciting!!!.......Personally Im gonna try and fish for Carp well into December. I reckon its the time to snatch the Lake record!! 34? 35? 36lb come mid-Winter?.... Who knows????
Re: New PB
Lordy Mike
Mind. Saying that. You turn up after months of not fishing, and catch a 30 on your first night. Not too shabby.
Personally, I'll have had a titfull of it by mid November, and will make good my promise to the wife, of doing all the whitework in the house, and redecorating all of the upstairs.
Shit. What have I said?!?!?!?!?

Re: New PB
Ha....Not saying I personally will snatch the lake record but then will be the time when the fish are reaching their top potential weights for the year and the dedicated angler who wants to persevere through the cold could be well rewarded. I'd like to think that I'll still be braving it come December but who knows? Im in no way ungrateful to the Angling Gods for my 30 but I still cant help wonder the weights of the likes of Si's lake record in a couple of months time. What will it be?? I dont reckon we should put the Carp rods away just yet!
Re: New PB
hopefully bigger best of luck to who ever catches the next record it would be nice to see if it can be broken again this year that would be WICKED!!!!
