Dont Be fooled by the Pike!

Thought Id post a new topic to try and stir a bit of good old chit chat on here for a change.....
Went down the Res earlier, 30 John and I were watching what we thought were Carp cruising around on the surface, only for closer inspection to reveal that it was in fact Mr Esox pretending to be Mr Carpio! (They were not only cruising but covering great distances on the surface before dropping down again!) I cant ever recall seeing Pike cruising before but they are certainly settling in well by the looks of them as random surface explosions signify that they are getting plenty of Silver Fish down them. Hopefully they will do a good job of thinning them out a bit! I couldnt help feel sorry for John though, he was rubbing his hands together thinkin he was on em' then out pops a big green set of jaws with big teeth! So beware, next time you reach for the mixers consider also half a Sardine or something made by Rapala!

He wants to let them really settle in and does not want them fished for till he gives the go ahead ! His fish his rules.
