"Keeping Tarde Tidy" Empty "Keeping Tarde Tidy"

Post by silver fox Mon Feb 25, 2013 5:30 pm

Ollie Guise and myself spent the afternoon up at Tardebigge today. We collected two sacks of rubbish from around the banks. This was mainly ,but not all ,on the public canal and dam wall banks. I think we can say as of this evening that 99% of the cans, bottles, wrappers discarded over the last few months have now been removed and Tarde has a smart new litter free environment for the start of the new spring season. It's up to all of us to help keep it that way. Do take whatever eccess packaging, cans wrappers etc you use during a fishing session away with you please. Ollie and I also emptied and cleaned one of the two Portaloos situated on the private bank. The other will be done next week before the "workparty weekend". So two useable toilets will be available for use by members for the coming season. Loo role, disinfectant etc. will be available in each loo tent so do make sure you use the portaloos hygienically.
It's in all our interests as a syndicate to respect the environment we fish in and do our bit to "Keep Tarde Tidy!"
