No Secret Squirrel Society Here - I've just been blanking - until yesterday !! 8-)
Did an overnighter with a familiar face guesting last night. A certain Mr Davenport.
I'd pre-baited heavily all along the canal bank on Thursday evening, and arrived yesterday afternoon with Dav. Dav in the Long, me on the Sluece.
Rods in, and a few beers.
Dav had a run at 4.30pm, and extricated a lovely 26lb mirror. At 6.30pm, as I was phoning the Anarkali, I had a run, and I managed to bank this mirror at 25lb 2ozs. Well chuffed after a 12 night Les Dawson streak.
Dav, having not fished Tarde for nearly a year, then banked a 13lb common at 8pm ish, and then followed it up with a 26lb 10oz mirror at 11.30pm (the smaller stub-tail). All Dav's fish fell to Lucky 13 snowmen, and hopefully, I'll have his pics to put up in this thread, at some point (technophobe willing !).
All in all, a cracking session, with a few beers, good laughs and a curry to go on top of it all.
I had a feeling you'd have a few, Dav !
Anyway, here's my photos (thanks to Jim for doing these for me)

Well in Keith, another beauty. Typically I turned up just after the first 3 captures so still haven't seen a carp on the bank at the res! Slow progress is being made though, I lugged my gear round to Russ's and they drifted over from the packed canal bank during the night (you were right Keith, cheers) and I duly lost one around 10am Saturday

Hiya Rich
It's becoming a bit of a habit (the fish, I mean, not me catching !! ), worth baring it in mind.
The motto for this year, which John Howard started, is ......"every dog has his day". Keep plugging mate.
