keith and the boys in france.

Right just to keep everyone upto date with our boys french fun here's the catch report from the first couple of days -

Keith has had 23lb 6oz, 32lb 2oz and a mega 43lb mirror. The chef has had a 34lb 2 oz mirror - his first 30 so big thumbs up to him. Davy has had a 25lb mirror and the others still to get off the mark but it's early days yet.

Deaks is off the mark with a 33lb mirror. Feeding spells seem to be early morning so the lads have been resting the swims letting the fish have a free meal before giving them a bashing tomorow :-)

Keith is showing them how to do it still with a 38 and 40 today. The Deaks has weighed in with a 33lb common but unfortunately grant has been cut off twice on a savage bar :-\

Been texting Keith each each evening. Monday 15th Oct. evening, Matt the Chef x2, a 29 and 34, Deaks x2 a 33, 36 and Dav x4, 37, 25,26,27 and keith x 5, 43, 32, 22, 24, 19.

Tuesday 16th October update, Keith now added an 18, 40, 38 so now on 8 fish and leading the way. Deaks added a 33 common. More to come guys as the fish get on the bait. Still half the week to go! Just beat me to it Neil but I'll post any how.

Now been back a week, and it was an excellent trip, although VERY wet (inch and a half of rain one night) and very dark (don't think I'll fish in France later than September - 14 hours of complete darkness is not much fun).

Anyway, we finished up as follows:

Deaks (top rod - top bombing) - 19 fish (2 or 3 x 40s)
Me - 16 fish (3 x 40s)
Dav - 5 fish
Anthony - 5 fish
Chef - 4 fish (1 x 40)
Grant - 1 fish (1x 40)

To be fair, all the fish were pushed up our end and Deaks moved around and slayed them. Here's a selection of photos of the better fish:

Nice one Guys! Some awesome looking fish and great to see the 40s spread around the group. Take your point about the 14 hours of darkness at this time of year. However as you know Russ and I are just under two weeks away from subjecting ourselves to something similar with another trip to 3 Iles. Hopefully we'll come back with our sanity intact!
