John and Jim's French catches.....Report and Photos
Jim and I got back from our visit to 3 Iles fishery totally exhausted after an amazing weeks fishing where between us we banked 49 carp and lost several having around 60 takes, that's an average of a take every 3 hours. 24/7 extreme fishing!!
I landed the first two carp within two hours of casting out. A 31 and a 29, both mirrors. A good start. Jim then lost his first two takes and I consoled him saying he'd soon start landing them. Next take he had and 45 minutes later his first carp of the week, but not any old carp, a new PB! A massive common of 50lb 12oz! After that as they say the rest is history as Jim went on to land 32 carp in total with his 50 and four other fish over 40lb. Trust me to wind him up by catching the first two of the week! I weighed in with 17 myself mainly low 30s and upper 20s. My first 50 still eludes me but maybe next year!
A massive thank you to Mike of "Black Market Baits" and Dean of "Coventry Carp Leads" for supplying us with top quality bait and leads. We got through 80kg of "Lucky 13" and a lead a fish as the rules and weed dictate!
What can we say; top bait, top leads, "mad for it" fish and very lucky anglers!?
Tight Lines,
John and Jim.
Below is a selection of our captures, hope you enjoy............
