Bark Chippings - BIG thanks to Simon M
Just wanted to say thanks to Simon Mottram for delivering a load of bark chippings to the Res. Very much appreciated, mate.
Swims that need doing are:
* House
* Secret
* Long
* Caravan
* Tench (just a top up)
* Russ's
* Island
* Dennis' & Gulley
The quicker the bark can be spread out, the better. John Howard is probably going to go down the Res this Sunday to have a go at it. I probably can't make it. However, if any of you can give John a hand, I'm sure it would be appreciated.
If you fancy going down and lending a hand, then take any large strong bags you have, gloves, shovel and life jacket.
Cheers
Keith

Ahhh ! Assumed it was you, Si.
Bring what you are able to, if you would please. We can't have "too many" chippings.

Will be up there on Sunday morning
As keith says we've had a good sized pile of wood chippings delivered. Sorry keith and Simon I assued it was you Simon but I imagine it may have been Grant or the Easter Bunny. To whom it may concern we thank you! Will be up there from 8.30 ish till around 11. If anyone can make it with shovels and rakes it shouldn't be too arduous a task. As Keith mentioned there are a number of swims needing a cover but the priority is the newly re built Russ's. So to start with a boatlooad over to the far bank will be the order of the day. So lifejackets if you fancy a boat trip. If you can make it it will be appreciated.
Cheers,
John

Thanks to John Grubb, Jez, John Terry & Simon Woodall
I was helped last Sunday in spreading the bark chippings by John Grubb, Jez and John Terry who all took time out of their fishing to lend a hand. This Sunday Simon Woodall came up specifically to spread the chippings and did a great job on the house swim. Thanks to all three for their efforts on behalf of us all. There's a new pile of chippings been delivered this week by the phantom chipper. Once again a big thank you to I think Grant?
There are still swims on the far bank that need chippings spreading. If you can lend a hand for a couple of hours next Sunday 1st April in the morning I'll be up there again. you will need a life jacket to help boat across the chippings.
Thanks again to those who have been involved so far. Hope to see others next Sunday,
John
